A randomized, placebo-controlled trial in 60 women tested 250 mg/day of reduced or oxidized glutathione. Some skin measurements improved; the findings were not consistent across every measure.
What the results mean +
Pigment measures tended to be lower; reduced glutathione significantly reduced wrinkles at some sites. This is preliminary evidence, not a guaranteed brightening result. The tested capsules were not these strips.
